My name is Jennifer and I am the writer behind Hear Her Hands. I am a Deaf, chronically ill, and disabled thirty something. I am married to a Deaf man who works in the private sector for cyber security. We live in Baltimore with our five furry family members – two house panthers and two miniature schnauzers. I am passionate about disability rights and history, but I also make plenty of room for fun clothes, cooking, and being active. I am the handler for a multipurpose service dog miniature schnauzer, he primarily works as a hearing dog but he has up to 15 tasks. Additionally, we work with and support the business that helped us train and get him reacclaimated to public access after the first year of the pandemic. This blog is where I will continue sharing all my passions with the world in a less academic medium.
